Hello,my name is Kati.Today is my 20th birthday and I was on the computer looking for some financial help and came across this website and saw your pledge.Through all my rough times I have still managed to have faith that one day all my hard work will be noticed by others.I do not have any kids,but Ive been on my own since I was 17.I moved from texas to minnesota to get out of my house where my alcoholic father lives.I then came to live with my mom who is today in the hospital down in Tennessee from an overdose.I moved out from her place when I could no longer handle living with her and her addiction that caused many problems.She moved to tennessee about 6 months ago and I have managed so far without any help but the days get harder and more lonely.Today is my bithday and I have nobody to spend it with.I try not to get depressed but I cry everyday.I sometimes forget to pray but I still beleive and love jesus.I work very hard every day and still dont have a home,car,or much of anything at all..But I have joined your pledge today and will keep you in my prayers.

Hi, I am a single mother and have a 16 year old son who is dieing of a rare disease known as Wegeners Granulmatosis. I am currently unemployed due to hospitalizations he has had over the last year. Hi Megan, I appreciate you replying to my topic. I am so sorry to hear about your situation but I guess that doesn't help much. I wish I could help you take care of it all but unfortunatly, I am in no situation to help financially myself. I can however offer what I have which is some clothing that may benefit your kids. I also can send you some canned, boxed & bagged foods if it will help. I know this doesn't help much with holiday dinner without a turkey, ham or something to go with it but unfortunatly, I am in the same boat. I do have extra side foods in my cabinet thoguh such as instant pottos, soups, kids pasta meals ect. All in date and sealed if you need it. I will be more than happy to give it to you. I also have some toys. As I said in my post, they are dollar store toys but my children cared for them and they are in good shape. I understand the cans of food may be quite expensive to ship and you could probably buy it at the store for the price of shipping it but the boxed food such as cereal, potatoes, mac & cheese ect. may be worth the ship as they are lite. Anyway, I wish so much that I could do more to help your family and will be praying for your turn around. Also, if you ever need a friend and willing ear feel free to contact me. If I can come up with a miracle anytime soon I will do my best to help you. I'm so sorry I can't do more. God bless your family
